Dr. Rita Chee
ABOUT DR. RITA CHEE
Dr. Rita Chee graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in 1991 and then a Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1995. She completed her Ocular Disease Internship in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, where she worked with a retinal specialist and developed a clinical interest in retinal findings. She is also interested in the treatment and management of Dry Eye Disease. She has volunteered in several optometric medical mission trips to Kenya with the Mully Children’s Family.

Closer to home, she has participated in the Lions Club Gift of Sight Program which provides free eye exams and glasses to disadvantaged children, volunteered at Homeless Connect which provides services to the homeless in Toronto and also volunteered with other eye care providers in vision clinics servicing Syrian refugees in the GTA. She has also been a preceptor to 3rd and 4th year optometry students. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and tries to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
