Eye See…Eye Learn!

The Eye See…Eye Learn (ESEL) program program provides comprehensive eye examinations for children entering school. This involves assessment of visual acuity, refractive error, eye co-ordination and eye health. The impact of uncorrected vision problems may be seen in many areas of a child’s development, including motor skills, behaviour, attention, learning and reading. The goal of ESEL is to identify and treat vision problems in early childhood in order to facilitate development.

Eye examinations are covered by OHIP for all children 19 and under with a valid health card. Through ESEL, specifically children in JK who are prescribed glasses will be eligible to receive one free pair from our partners, Nikon and OGI.
